MESSAGE OF HARMONY

Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) organised a national level seminar on Kashmir & Kashmiriyat where I presented a paper entitled Message of Inclusiveness in the poetry of Lal Ded and Nund Reshi. Gen OM Prakash presented me the HARMONY AWARD on the occasion.   

North East & Eastern Writers Meet 2017

Sahitya Akademi organised North East & Northern Writers Meet 2017 on 28th & 29th October 2017. On the dais on the second day where I presented a paper "Translation: a creative bridge different intellectual traditions". On the dais Prof Neerja Matto and Kunju Bihari Singh are also seen. 

Presided the DPS Memorial Lecture Session

I presided the Memorial Lecture Session held at Delhi Public School, Budgam where Prof Shafi Shouq delivered the lecture on Nund Rishi (Sheikh-ul-Aalam) on 18th March 2017.  

 

In the Presidium at All India Hindi Writers Conference (2016) at Jammu alongwith Dr Nirmal Vinod, Prof Rattan Lal Shant and Smt Azra Chowdhry. 

Book Release Function at Jammu. It was a pleasure to release the first Hindi Poetry Collection of Shivani Anand in presence of Sgri Gurcharan Singh and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn. (2016)

K L Sehgal Hall (Jammu): In JHAROKHA series RKJ and JKAACL jointly felicitated Shri N D Jamwal for his contribution to Dogri literature and theater. I presided over the function while as Dr Nirmal Vinod presented a paper on life and contribution of Shri Jamwal. Shri V K Sambyal presented Welcome Address and Dr Amn presented Vote of Thanks. (July 2014)

 

Jammu: 30th October 2014. A felicitation ceremony held at K L Sehgal Hall organised jointly by RKJ and JKAACL. Smt Yogita Yadav presented a paper on my Hindi poetry while as eminent singers Dharmesh Nargotra, Dr Aksa Chaman and Sami Feroz sang my ghazals. Smt Anjana Badyal anchered the programme. V K Sambyal (Director RKJ), DR Arvinder Singh Amn (Addl. Secretary JKAACL) and Gyaneshwar (President of the Ceremony) were present in addition to a galaxy of eminent writers and intellectuals from the region.

Concluding function of Jashn-e-Aazadi Poetry Festival organised by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages at Jammu University. VC Jammu University presided over the function whileas I attended as the Chief Guest. (August 21, 2015)
